A New Visual Identity

Founded in 1973 by Dr. Hideo Arakawa under the philosophy of “creating what does not yet exist,” the company has developed hardware systems based on wire suspension technology.
In 1975, Arakawa developed ARAKAWA GRIP, the world’s first adjustable wire gripper mechanism. Since then, this core technology has enabled a wide range of systems, including display wire systems, picture hanging rails, architectural wire railing systems, and suspension hardware for lighting fixtures.
Today, Arakawa products are used in more than 30 countries, supporting architectural and exhibition spaces around the world.
After more than 50 years of innovation, Arakawa is entering a new stage of growth. While exploring new applications in the domestic market, the company will further strengthen its global expansion and broaden the possibilities of its suspension technologies.
The renewed visual identity symbolizes this commitment to the future.
New Brand Expression
A Mark – Continuing Our Corporate Symbol
The A Mark, which has represented Arakawa since its founding, will continue to be used as the company’s corporate symbol. It reflects the trust, precision, and craftsmanship that define the Arakawa brand.
New Symbol: Hanging Colon
A new symbol called the “Hanging Colon” has been introduced. Inspired by the semicolon, the symbol represents connection—linking people, companies, and ideas. Its form also references the structure of Arakawa’s core technologies, the gripper and hook.
New Tagline

New Logotype
The new ARAKAWA logotype is based on a standard typeface designed for global readability.
It ensures high visibility across both digital and printed media while expressing the reliability and technical precision of the Arakawa brand.
Design by Kairi Eguchi
The new visual identity was designed by Kairi Eguchi, an Osaka-based designer.
Over a period of approximately two years, Arakawa worked closely with Eguchi to discuss the company’s vision for the next 50 years.
Through these discussions, a clear direction emerged: to create new connections beyond conventional boundaries and to expand into new fields by building upon the technologies the company has developed over the years.
For the past five decades, Arakawa’s core technology, ARAKAWA GRIP, has played an important role in supporting creative environments.
Now, after more than 50 years since its founding, the company is taking the next step forward.
By connecting people, companies, and ideas, Arakawa aims to enhance creativity and support limitless possibilities through its suspension technologies. The renewed visual identity represents this commitment to the future.
